Description:
Kent Rosenblum was originally a veterinarian, and later found that the 'basement wine' he was making was a hit with his friends. Kent then refined his talent and became a negociant, buying grapes from all over Califonia's wine country and producing world class Zinfandels. Because of his wizard-like talent to produce consistent and delicious Zinfandel, Kent Rosenblum has been nicknamed the "King of Zin." This Zinfandel is a blend of wines from various regions of California. The cuvee concept allows the winery to produce a rich and fruity wine by combining separate, unique lots of Zinfandel representing the finest characteristics of the state, coastal, inland, mountain and valley fruit. The final blend shows lovely raspberry and cherry fruit, and an overall complexity rare to comparably priced Zinfandels. The lovely, bright jammy cherry and raspberry fruit with hints of black pepper and spice are the main focus of this fruit-focused wine. It is a very friendly, drinkable, zesty style Zinfandel. This is a versatile wine that goes well with pasta, barbecue meats, poultry, Italian, and Mediterranean style foods.
