Description:
A thousand year old former abbey is home to Badia wines. This Chianti Classico is a pure expression of Sangiovese in the bottle. Its brilliant red color hints at the dark cherry flavors and bright zip of acidity that makes this such a versatile and genuine food wine. The wine is full of extremely ripe fruit and mouth-watering acidity. Tomato sauces, fresh herbs and simply prepared foods – it doesn’t get much better, or more Tuscan, than that! The wine is made from organically grown grapes from Badia’s own estate vineyards. That’s really as it should be since there is a sense of the natural when you wander through the Chianti region. Badia a Coltibuono means “the Abbey of the Good Harvest.” Enough said.
