Description:
Take a moment and admire the color of a good rosé, which, after all, should contribute to its appeal. A high quality rosé glistens in the glass. Depending on the variety of grape, the color will range from a tantalizing orange tint to a seductive rosy pink. But watch out for extremes: too pink (like flamingos) or too orange (like the fruit) usually indicates a poor quality wine or one that’s past its prime. A rosé’s bouquet, although usually not complex, also accounts for part of its allure. Look for light floral scents on the nose, sometimes wildflowers, or for red berries and fruit. This Adi rose produced by Abigail Adams is a great example of high quality rose from the rich soils of the Southern Napa Valley. Bright and vibrant fruit aromas surround this wine, and make for an exciting approach to the glass. The flavors include rose petals, and strawberries, with a touch of licorice whips! On the palate the wine crumbles into a pretty, dry, and seductive flavor. This is a sexy rose produced from beautifully mature Syrah grapes. This wine is best on the patio on a hot day, or in the Autumn with a giant turkey.
