Description:
Hanenhof is the second label of Haan Wines. This Cabernet Franc is 100% estate grown fruit. Aromas of crushed blackberry and cassis cascade form the glass, accented by licorice, black cherry and cloves; a vibrant Bordeaux-like expression of fruit and spice thrill the senses, while Barossa Valley richness coats the palate. While Cabernet Franc can often be over-powering and very vegetal, this wine puts out great vibrant energy that explodes and lingers on the palate. This wine would be an interesting match to a meatloaf laced with Italian sausage and bell peppers.
