Description:
Sangiovese is the main grape in all Chianti wines. However, if a wine is not from the Chianti region it cannot be labeled as a Chianti. This sangiovese comes from a region east of Chianti named Umbria therefore it lacks the prestigious title of a chianti wine, however, after tasting, may become one of your favorites from all of Italy. This wine is light with just the right amount of elegant tannins. Juicy with wild berry and vivid strawberry flavors and earthy spice, pour out of this light-to-medium bodied red. This wine is a killer match with tomato-based dishes and traditional rich Italian recipes such as an eggplant parmasean.
