Description:
This South African treat is a big robust wine that has an vivid ruby red color. Composed of 83% Cabernet Franc and 17% Merlot, this wine captures the monsterous intensity of the Cabernet Franc varietal while softening and rounding out the flavor of the wine by using merlot. The wine has zesty aromas of ripe raspberries and strawberries. The flavor of the wine has that same ripe berry fruit that lingers on-and-on with coarse tannins and a very rich feel in the mouth. Enjoy this wine with Italian meatballs, or a pasta with sauce containing mushrooms and bacon (like a scallopini). Parmasean and Bleu cheese would be great with this wine as well.
